The world of whiskey meets the magic of Cirque du Soleil in the new edition of The Macallan Harmony Collection

The new addition, Vibrant Oak - embodying the spirit of sustainable craftsmanship and the distillery’s artistic vision - is now available in Bulgaria

The Scottish distillery The Macallan has introduced in Bulgaria the latest addition to its Harmony Collection - Vibrant Oak, created in collaboration with Cirque du Soleil. This partnership reflects the shared pursuit of creativity, respect for nature, and continuous innovation.

The fourth release in The Macallan Harmony Collection - Vibrant Oak - celebrates the brand’s rich heritage with oak, as the distillery’s exceptional sherry-seasoned oak casks contribute most significantly to the quality, distinctive aromas, and flavors of its single malt whisky. This limited-edition expression has been matured in a combination of sherry casks, primarily first-fill, and second-fill casks, carefully selected to impart classic flavours of vanilla, citrus, and sweet oak, characteristic of American oak. Each cask is crafted to precise specifications in a process that takes around five years and contributes up to 80% of the flavour and 100% of the natural colour. The bottle features a golden-yellow hue with a beautiful illustration of a character from Cirque du Soleil SPIRIT - Ayla - entwined in the branches of an American oak tree, symbolizing the whisky’s maturation in American oak casks. Peacock feathers in the design emphasize the whisky’s natural colour.

The limited The Macallan Harmony Collection emphasizes sustainability by repurposing organic materials that have reached the end of their life cycle. The series includes three other editions, each carrying its concept created through inspiring collaborations. The first was a continuation of the brand’s long-standing and fruitful partnership with the Roca brothers from Spain, uniting the worlds of whisky and chocolate in an exceptional sensory experience. The second edition was inspired by the connection between whisky-making and coffee production, thanks to Master Distiller Steven Bremner and a team of five coffee experts. The third limited-edition whisky pays homage to the Scottish lands that connect people across generations and is a collaboration between the distillery and sisters Stella and Mary McCartney. The magic of the fourth edition - Vibrant Oak - has now reached Bulgarian whisky connoisseurs and collectors through the official distributor of The Macallan in the country - Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria.
