Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria organizes "Financial Academy" as part of its educational program #YouthEmpowered

Financial managers from the company revealed valuable practices and knowledge to students from the Faculty of Economics of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski"


Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria organised a "Finance Academy" in cooperation with the Faculty of Economics of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", as part of its educational program #YouthEmpowered. Students from the Accounting, Finance and Digital Applications, Economics and Finance and Business Administration majors had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of finance and business through lectures and practical tasks conducted by company representatives, experts in the field.

At the opening lecture, on 5 March, the CFO of Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria, Krum Stoimenov, presented the topic "How to become a successful CFO? Financial trends in the next 10 years". He shared with the students the leading strategies and key aspects that are essential for the successful career development of any financial executive. During the nearly 3-hour meeting, he also revealed his vision for the major trends in the field over the next ten years and how they will shape and change the role of finance professionals.

"When you come face to face with the future finance leaders of Bulgaria and see their thirst for knowledge and skills, you realize how valuable the experience you can provide them is. Not only it is the key to their successful futures, but it is the foundation for the development of our entire financial community. It is a real pleasure to be part of something as important as the training and development of Bulgaria's next finance professionals. I hope that our team has been able to impart the most valuable lessons to the students to help them develop their full potential", said Krum Stoimenov.

In the second lecture, which took place on 12 March, Alexandra Stoimenova - Finance Manager at Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria, and Martin Mirchev - Financial Analyst at the company, revealed a number of secrets and trends in the field of "Commercial Finance and Business Partnerships". Through concrete examples and practical research, they presented to the students the complex dynamics of financial relationships in the modern business world.

On 18 March, in the final lecture of the "Financial Academy", Dimitar Jonjorov, Elena Tsaneva and Petar Gogev, financial managers at Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria, stood in front of the students and conveyed the most valuable of their years of experience in the field, leaving no question unanswered. They revealed all the unknowns on the topic "Financial Control and Business Partnership in Supply Chain. Financial planning and analysis". The last lecture provoked the students to become part of the Coca-Cola Finance Challenge, where they, in teams of up to three people, have the opportunity to draw up solutions to a set problem to be presented on 26 March.

The Finance Academy is part of Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria's educational program - #YouthEmpowered, which has been helping thousands of young people in Bulgaria to develop their personal skills and business competencies for 7 years. The company's team volunteers their time for the development of young people in the initiative and actively supports the professional development of the participants. Thanks to the program, and the dedication of more than 460 experts, 25,000 youth from across the country, between the ages of 16 and 26, have successfully gone through a number of trainings, gaining valuable knowledge for a successful career start.
