Marking 55 years since the film lit up the silver screen, this limited-edition release celebrates Bond's connoisseurship of sherry wine, with a shared appreciation for craftsmanship, innovation and storytelling that connects The Macallan and James Bond. The evening brought together partners, media representatives, influencers and whisky enthusiasts in an atmosphere inspired by the intrigue, duality and narrative turns that define both modern innovators - where not everything is as it seems.

The event was opened by Ivelina Dimitrova, Brand Manager for The Macallan at Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria, and hosted by Dimitar Dimitrov, Regional Brand Specialist at Edrington, who introduced guests to the long-standing creative partnership between The Macallan and James Bond, as well as the story behind the new limited edition celebrating the 55th anniversary of Diamonds Are Forever.

The evening continued with signature cocktails inspired by the collaboration between The Macallan and the legendary 007, live performances of iconic James Bond film scores, and immersive visual installations that reflected moments in the film where Bond’s connoisseurship of wine allows him to uncover vital clues.

The highlight of the evening was the official unveiling of The Macallan Diamonds Are Forever 55th Anniversary Release. The limited-edition release captivated guests with a design inspired by original production materials from Diamonds Are Forever, preserved in the official James Bond archives. The release offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the world of Bond while showcasing The Macallan's ability to tell compelling stories through exceptional craftsmanship, flavour and design.

Distilled in 2-007 and matured for 18 years, The Macallan Diamonds Are Forever 55th Anniversary Release is a limited-edition single malt Scotch whisky created by The Macallan Whisky Maker Russell Greig and inspired by the intrigue, duality and unexpected twists of the iconic film. Bespoke hybrid casks – crafted from sherry seasoned European and American oak – are complemented with the novel inclusion of casks made from American oak which previously held red wine. The result is a whisky of bold depth and light sweetness, showcasing innovation in technique and craftsmanships, with notes of dried fruits, vanilla, caramel and cocoa-dusted truffles, embodying The Macallan's uncompromising craftsmanship and innovative spirit.
