Registration for the sixth edition of Bar Masters is open and expect the new cocktail masters

Professional bartenders wishing to challenge themselves and test their skills in the program can register for participation until 30 April

One of the leading bartending community-building programs organized by Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria returns for its sixth year, promising an even greater variety of challenges and exciting experiences from the world of cocktails. The registration form for this year's professional bartending adventure is now open and all interested parties can enter until 30.04.2024 at https://mybar.bg/barmasters/. Participants in the challenge will have the opportunity to show their professionalism in several stages. These include the construction of their own POP-UP bars, a bartending camp, as well as numerous practical and theoretical trainings conducted by some of the most famous and established names in bar culture in the country and around the world.

The opening ceremony of the program’s sixth edition, which brings the cocktail culture in Bulgaria to an even higher level, will be held within two days - April 29 and 30, under the title BAR MASTERS SHOW, in The Purgatory, at 7 Industrialna St. in Sofia. All cocktail enthusiasts and professionals wishing to attend will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the best and established names in the industry and to soak up their valuable experience and advice during several speaker panels, touching on every subtlety of the profession. Special guest at the opening event will be Vasilis Kyritsis - 2012 Bartender of the Year for Greece and represented the country at the World Finals in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is the owner of the internationally acclaimed bars "The Clumsies" and "Line" in Greece, which reached the top positions of the "50 World's Best Bars" charts.

As part of the program, participants will also have the opportunity to meet Iain McPherson - winner of the 2020 Innovator of the Year Award and owner of the unique Señor Scoop ice cream brand, which offers innovative flavors enriched with alcohol. He is also known for his 'Switching' technique, which involves using special vessels to combine different cocktail ingredients to create even more complex and intriguing combinations, enhancing the visual and flavor impact of drinks. This year's edition of Bar Masters will also feature Pekka Pellinen - global brand mixologist for Finlandia and creator of some of its most iconic cocktails, as well as Marko Raittinen - master taster for Finlandia Vodka. They will reveal the secrets behind creating the perfect cocktail and share their innovative approaches to the art of bartending.

The Bar Masters program is now in its sixth year and aims to prepare a new generation of bartending community - united, competent, and mutually supportive professionals to elevate the industry to the highest level. To date, over the past five editions, nearly 750 bartenders from across the country have taken part in the cocktail adventure. Again, this year, world-renowned speakers and leading figures in the bar industry will guide participants through exciting challenges, useful workshops, and engaging training sessions.

In addition to the prestigious title of Bar Master of Bulgaria for 2024, the winner of this year's program will receive a cash prize worth BGN 7,000. The second and third-place winners will also be rewarded with cash prizes of BGN 3,000 and BGN 2,000 respectively. Traditionally, the search for the best Bar Master in Bulgaria for 2024 will also include some of the most popular global brands in the 24/7 portfolio of Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria. These include Finlandia, Martini, Bombay Sapphire, Gentleman Jack, Naked Malt, Brugal, Jägermeister, Schweppes and Caffe Vergnano.

For the third year in a row, alongside the iconic Bar Masters program, the challenge for amateur bartenders - Home Masters - will also be organized, starting in June. For 3 months, the competition will aim to inspire all cocktail lovers who wish to develop their skills and talents, regardless of their previous experience, and of course - win prizes.
