The New Canteen at Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria’s Production Center in Bankia Receives Recognition at Dibla Design Awards 2025

The project for the new canteen at Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria’s production center in Bankia received 3rd place in the category “Public Interior – Cafe, Pastry Shop and Fast-Food Establishment” at the Dibla Design Awards 2025. The award was presented to the company’s partner responsible for the overall concept and implementation of the project – Tcikalov & Architects Ltd.

The recognition comes in a particularly significant year for the plant, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2026. The Dibla Design Awards distinction acknowledges both the quality of the architectural concept and execution by Tcikalov & Architects Ltd., as well as Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria’s commitment to investing in a modern, sustainable, and inspiring working environment for its employees.

The space has been designed as a functional and welcoming environment that combines employee comfort with the brand’s identity. Among the key interior elements are wooden slats, which bring warmth and rhythm to the space, as well as wood-effect flooring that complements the overall concept and warm color palette. The canteen is organized into two main areas – a large dining area with a buffet and a smaller area with coffee and vending machines, designed for short breaks and recharging during the day. The selection of materials and design elements aims to create a calm and cozy atmosphere – a place for both a proper lunch and a cup of Costa coffee to give a strong start to the working week.

The Bankia plant is one of Coca-Cola HBC’s two key production centers in Bulgaria and has played an important role in the company’s development in the country over the past two decades. The creation of the new canteen is part of the company’s long-term strategy to build a modern and inspiring workplace that puts people at the center.
