Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria Receives Another Recognition for Employees’ Engagement in Social Causes

The company was awarded a Bronze Annual Badge at the “Responsible Company – Responsible Employees” awards

Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria received the Bronze Annual Badge for 2025 in the initiative of BCause Foundation, which recognizes companies that encourage employee engagement in socially significant causes. The annual “Responsible Company – Responsible Employees” awards are being organized for the twelfth consecutive year in partnership with the Bulgarian Association for People Management (BAPM), the Bulgarian Public Relations Society (BPRS) and the Association of Sustainability Professionals (ASP).

“For us, sustainable development is a long-term commitment – to nature, to people and to the communities in which we operate. We are proud of the dedication of all our colleagues who take part every year in initiatives focused on environmental protection, youth development and support for local communities,” said Maya Ivanova, Customer & Community Partnerships Manager at Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria, during the award ceremony.

The “Responsible Company – Responsible Employees” awards recognize companies that build a culture of volunteering and giving in the workplace and encourage their employees to actively support socially meaningful causes. Among the most significant initiatives of Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria is employees’ participation in the #YouthEmpowered educational program. Over the past year, nearly 60 volunteers from The Coca-Cola System in Bulgaria have delivered dozens of trainings and career talks for young people aged 16-25. In 2025 alone, the program reached 4,121 young people, and since its launch in 2017, it has helped nearly 36,000 young people in Bulgaria develop skills for a successful career start.

In 2025, the company and its employees also supported a few social causes through donation initiatives, including charity bazaars and payroll giving, as well as product donations to the Bulgarian Food Bank. The company’s team also actively participates in environmental initiatives, including the “My Green City” campaign. As part of the initiative, in 2025 volunteers cleaned areas around the Perlovska River and Kremikovtsi Park, supporting the causes of the “Rivers of Sofia” and “Surya” foundations. In addition, they organized three tree-planting campaigns at emblematic locations in Sofia, Plovdiv and Burgas.

The Bronze honorary badge is further recognition of Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria’s consistent approach to sustainable development and of the team’s efforts to create a positive impact through volunteering, partnerships and support for a wide range of social causes.
