Coca-Cola’s Christmas Truck Brough the Holiday Spirit to Bulgaria

The 19-meter holiday icon will visit 8 cities in the country

Coca-Cola’s Christmas truck came back to Bulgaria and today hundreds of people welcomed it at the heart of the capital. The world-famous soft drinks company surprised the unsuspecting citizens and guests of Sofia at Vitosha Boulevard with a special flashmob led by Santa Claus and dozens of ambassadors of good, who gave start to the iconic red truck’s national tour. The herald of Christmas will make a stop at 8 different Bulgarian cities.

This year Coca-Cola’s Christmas Campaign, “The World Needs More Santas”, has the company’s famous truck return to Bulgaria to spread Christmas cheer and magic. Throughout December, the truck will tour the country and set up a little Christmas village in 8 different cities – Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Burgas, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Vratza, Blagoevgrad, and Sofia. Visitors can participate and enjoy a plethora of fun Christmas-themed activities. The truck’s first stop will be Plovdiv, where on December 1st and 2nd, several surprises await anyone who wants to be part of the Christmas magic. As for when and where will be the stops afterward, Coca-Cola’s team will reveal them very soon.

At the Coca-Cola Christmas Village, any visitor can create and purchase a Christmas toy for their loved ones at Santa’s workshop. The price is pay-what-you-want and all proceeds will go to support the “Operation Teddy Bear” Association. In addition, there will be a digital photobooth to capture the moment for anyone feeling the magic. The photos can then be either taken home as a sweet memento, or you can have them used as decoration for the village’s digital Christmas Tree. Visitors will also have the opportunity to take a picture with Santa or write a kind letter to a stranger from one of the next cities on the tour. Attendees can expect even more holiday activities and rewards at each event.

A special guest will also be present at the Christmas villages, namely the ambassador of the “I want to be useful… Recycle me!” initiative, the yellow installation “Shisheyad”, who “eats” bottles. Its goal is to make each event #ZeroWaste. Worldwide, as well as here in Bulgaria, Coca-Cola has committed to collecting and recycling a bottle or a can for each unit sold until 2030 as part of the company’s “World Without Waste” vision.

Another magical element, part of the Christmas campaign, is the massive national promotion “Share the Christmas Spirit”. Participants will have the chance to win some extra holiday cheer or one of several rewards. And 3 very lucky people will be able to win a 3-day trip to Santa’s home in Lapland. Participating is easy and everyone is welcome. Between November 6 and December 23 in Coca-Cola’s app, players can show how much they know about dear old Santa and his home.

Coca-Cola’s “The World Needs More Santas” campaign and #ShareTheGood (#СподелямеДоброто) appeal aim to emphasize the importance and magic of the Christmas holiday. The goal is to motivate more people to do more good deeds and to get closer to their loved ones.
