"My Green City" with a prestigious award for "Investor in the Environment"

Coca-Cola System's Green Initiative in Bulgaria was honored in the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum's Annual Responsible Business Awards 2023

The 16th edition of the company's green volunteer initiative - "My Green City", earned the prestigious third place in the category "Investor in the Environment" within the Annual Responsible Business Awards 2023 of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum. In the 21st edition of the national competition, 126 corporate initiatives with a cause of 82 companies competed. The BBLF aims to encourage best practices of engagement with public causes and to promote corporate initiatives with the greatest impact.

Maya Ivanova, Customer & Community Partnerships Manager accepted the award on behalf of the Coca-Cola System team in Bulgaria, personally from the Minister of Environment and Water - Julian Popov.

"Thank you for the recognition, which will be another inspiration on the path of good deeds that our team has been paving for years. They say you don't have to have the time to volunteer, you just need the heart. And there are thousands of such hearts beating in the Coca-Cola System that continue to prove that we have the power to change our world for the better", said Maya Ivanova.

As part of the "My Green City" editions, volunteers from the Coca-Cola System in Bulgaria managed to green, clean, and improve dozens of areas, forests, and parks in the country. In the last five editions of the initiative alone, they planted over 7 acres of forests, collected tons of waste separately from 15 locations, cleaned over 30 km of coastal areas and transformed 10 bus stops in Sofia into plastic collection containers.
